Attended Mike and Jerry's Concealed Handgun Permit and Pistol I Training Course. I was highly impressed with both their knowledge and expertise during the entire class. They both made the class fun while at the same time reminding us of our responsibilities as new gun owners. I would highly recommend them both to anyone looking to take any type of weapons training/safety course. First let me say how amazing all the instructors are! Who better to learn gun safety from than a group of retired pro’s including a Marine, Navy SEAL, DEA agent and LA Police Officer. They are all experts in their field and made me feel very comfortable in the class, being a girl. I thought it would be intimidating but they were very kind and helpful. Jerry made sure before I left that I was able to rack the gun (which is difficult if you don’t have a lot of hand strength) and showed us some cool moves with reloading the magazine (they also taught us the correct terminology “it’s not a clip”). Steven the Navy SEAL was extremely helpful in making sure I knew how to hold the gun properly and also super helpful when we were at the gun range learning how to shoot. Ralph retired DEA was fascinating to listen to and has had a lot of experience which was very cool to hear! I was very impressed with the class, the main instructor Michael was great and makes you feel comfortable, the class was laid back and not intimidating at all. He made us all laugh with his stories of experience and sense of humor. I couldn’t have chosen a better class to learn gun basics and I plan on taking the advanced classes to learn even more from these guys! Even after the class when I have gone to practice, the guys who work at the gun range were impressed that I knew what I was doing thanks to Pilum!
