I hired Freestate Investigations for a service of process job and paid an additional $50 for what they described as a skip-trace to “find the new address and serve” after they confirmed the original address was bad. Despite my immediate payment and their written promise to locate an updated address, no skip-trace results, alternate address, or investigative findings were ever provided. The only document I received was an Affidavit of Non-Service repeating the same invalid address we already knew was useless. When I followed up, they admitted the $50 did not include a written report and provided no evidence that any new address had been researched or located. In the end, I paid extra for a service that delivered nothing of value and left me needing to hire a different investigator to get the job done. My experience was disappointing and I cannot recommend them for skip-tracing or investigative work.
